Targeting and tracking cookies enable third parties to provide services, mainly advertising, and to improve the effectiveness of such services. These cookies may remember the web pages and sites that you visit, and may collect personal data, mainly the IP address of the user’s device. The information collected may be shared with third parties.

Examples include cookies that enable advertising agencies to serve ads based on your interests as determined by how you browse Snow Groomers websites, or that limit their repetition. These cookies require your permission. In that case, a highly visible banner will appear on the first page of the site to request your consent to install these cookies.

Snow Groomers and third-party providers, including Google, use both first-party cookies and third-party cookies to collect information and to optimize and serve ads based on visits to the site. Snow Groomers and these providers also use these two types of cookies to determine the ratio of number of site visits to ad impressions, other uses of advertising services and the interactions with these ad impressions and these advertising services. Lastly, Snow Groomers and these providers use these two types of cookies to remember your interests and demographic data so as to serve you targeted ads.

· Cookies generated by social network sharing buttons

Snow Groomers uses so-called social plugins (hereinafter referred to as buttons) which link to social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.

When you visit our website, these buttons are disabled by default, which means they do not send any information to the social networks in question without action on your part. Before you can use these buttons, you have to click to enable them. The buttons remain enabled until you disable them again or you delete your cookies. Once they have been enabled, the system connects directly to the server of the social network selected. The content of the button is then transferred directly from the social networks to your web browser, which incorporates them into the website you are visiting.

As soon as you have enabled a button, the social network in question can collect data, irrespective of whether or not you use the button. If you are logged on to a social network, it can link your visit to this website to your user account. Visits to other Snow Groomers websites will only be linked if you have also enabled the corresponding button on these sites.

If you are a member of a social network and you do not want it to link the data collected from your visit to our website to the information provided when you joined the network, you must log out of the social network in question before enabling the buttons.

Please note that we have no influence over the scope of data collected by the social networks through your buttons. Please refer to the data protection statement published by the social networks in question for more information about the scope and purpose of the data collection and how they process and use such data, as well as the rights and setting options to protect your privacy.

Social Media Terms of Use

We believe social media is a powerful tool for productive conversations with our community about upcoming events, news and general information.

We wish to encourage this type of communication among all users, but to keep conversations engaging and respectful, we follow some principles that we apply to all our social media platforms:

  • We don’t accept content that’s illegal, inappropriate, obscene, offensive, defamatory, threatening or abusive—this is just plain rude.
  • We don’t accept chain letters, pyramid schemes, or fraudulent or deceptive messages—we’re authentic, not dishonest.
  • We refuse spam—no one has time for this.
  • Infringement of copyright or trademarks is prohibited.
  • We’re conscious of “all caps”—in some cases on the Web it’s like YELLING and can be unpleasant. If you’re YELLING, we may remove your post.
  • Like anyone, we appreciate a good debate, but we don’t tolerate personal attacks, vulgar language or quarrels with other members of the community. This includes racist or sexist comments.
  • If you’re posting images and videos on our social media channels (by private message or by posting on our pages) or your post includes #snowgroomers, or @snowgroomers, we’ll assume you want to share your experiences. We’re here to help you do that, so we’ll happily distribute your content throughout our network subject to our User Generated Content Terms of Use.

Given the above, we reserve the right to delete comments expressed on our social media pages if these general principles aren’t respected.

By submitting content to Snow Groomers or by posting content on social media channels that includes #snowgroomers and @snowgroomers you grant Snow Groomers and its affiliates a nonexclusive, fully paid, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, transferable, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, sell, assign, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform and display the content you submitted, including any copyrights or other intellectual property rights therein, as well as your name, image, and likeness, free of charge. You further irrevocably waive any “moral rights” or other rights with respect to attribution of authorship or integrity of materials regarding any content submitted. Among other things, you agree that Snow Groomers can publish your content on its, or its affiliates’, website and on its third-party social media pages. Subject to the license described above, you remain the owner of your content.

Snow Groomers is under no obligation to display or feature any content submitted to it and does so at its sole discretion. Snow Groomers reserves the right to remove or not to publish any content for any reason whatsoever.

You hereby warrant that you are at least 18 years of age, have full right and authority to submit that content, and have sole copyright and proprietary right over that content. You further warrant that you have obtained the consent to this submission of all persons pictured or named in your content and that your submission will not infringe or violate the rights of any third parties or any applicable laws or regulations.

You hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Snow Groomers, its affiliates, licensees, licensors, and officers, directors, employees, successors, agents and assigns, from all claims, demands or losses arising from or in connection with a) the use of any content submitted by you, b) breach of any terms or warranties contained in these terms of use, or c) actual or alleged third-party infringement claims.

You acknowledge and agree that Snow Groomers and its affiliates have no control over, and shall have no liability for any damages resulting from, the use (including, without limitation, re‑publication) or misuse by any third party of any content you submit.
